Institutional Subscriptions: library proxy server
database.
For universities with an established proxy server, we offer access
through IP address authentication as an online database administered through the
electronic resources page of your library's website. Institutional Subscriptions
make the IPA Source website available to your entire student body, faculty and
staff both on and off campus.
Due to the unique nature of IPA Source, fees are based on the average number of
registered voice students at your institution rather than the overall FTE. The
number of registered voice students is easily established through a quick call
to your voice area coordinator.
All fees are for a one-year subscription.
Tier One: for a single institution with up to 29 registered voice students. USD
$200
Tier Two: for a single institution with 30 to 59 registered voice students. USD
$350
Tier Three: for a single institution with 60 to 119 registered voice students.
USD $450
Tier Four: for a single institution with over 120 registered voice students. USD
$550
For institutions without graduate instruction in voice, we offer the
following fee schedule.
Tier One UG: for undergraduate institutions with up to 29 registered voice
students. USD $200
Tier Two UG: for undergraduate institutions with 30 to 59 registered voice
students. USD $200
Tier Three UG: for undergraduate institutions with 60 to 119 registered voice
students. USD $350
Tier Four UG: for undergraduate institutions with over 120 registered voice
students. USD $450
Access is for unlimited downloads and unlimited simultaneous
users over the entire IP range.
Plug-ins: The only plug-in necessary for the IPA Source is the
PDF reader. The PDF files allow viewing, saving, and printing and are set for
content extraction for accessibility allowing readers for the visually impaired.
Due to the nature of the content of the material (specifically, the use of the
International Phonetic Alphabet font and the multi-language elements of each
file), the PDF files are not tagged PDF files nor is an HTML alternative
possible. While the site does contain some MP3 sound recordings of foreign
language texts (easily accessible by most computers), these files do not
constitute part of the contractual content and are open to the public as a free
service.
Updates: Requests for new material are accepted and new texts
are added daily.
Material: All materials on IPA Source are considered
public domain in the United States. Although IPA transcriptions with word-for-word
translations can be found in book form, over 50% of the material found on IPA
Source is unique to our site.
