Gottardo Aldighieri (1824 – 1906) was an Italian operatic baritone who had a major opera career in Italy from 1858 to 1885. Although he primarily sang baritone, his wide range allowed him to occasionally sing tenor roles. He wrote the text to Il bacio set by Luigi Arditi and dedicated to the Italian soprano, Marietta Piccolomini. Wikipedia
