Giovanni Battista Alveri (before 1670 – after 1719) Italian musician and composer of vocal works. His first collection of Cantate a voce sola da camera was published in 1687 followed by Arie italiane amorose e lamentabili in 1690. Music to his two operas does not survive. MGG-online
