Friedrich Heinrich Himmel (1765 – 1814) was a German composer and pianist. He originally studied theology at Halle before turning to music. He was an active concert pianist and a successful composer of Italian operas. Himmel’s gift of writing genuine simple melodies is also observable in his Lieder. Wikipedia
