Ricarda Huch (1864–1947) was a pioneering German intellectual, trained as an historian, she was the author of many works of European history, novels, poems, and a play. The asteroid 879 Ricarda is named in her honor. She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature seven times. Wikipedia
